Behind The Teacher’s Desk (BTTD-2023) (June 8-9, 2023)

Behind The Teacher’s Desk (BTTD-2023), a national level Student Seminar on Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, is being organised during June 8-9, 2023 by the Indian Institute of Metals (IIM) Jamshedpur Chapter in association with CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML), Tata Steel Limited; National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur and Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR).

The seminar was formally inaugurated with the release of seminar souvenir by the Chief Guest Prof. Goutam Sutradhar, Director, NIT Jamshedpur and Guest of Honor, Dr. A.K. Srivastava, Director, NML, Jamshedpur along with Dr. Sandip Ghosh Chowdhury, Chairman, BTTD programme, Dr. A.N. Bhagat, Chairman, IIM Jamshedpur and Dr. Ammasi A., convener of the BTTD-2023

The aim of the seminar is to provide a common platform for promising and aspiring metallurgists to interact with the pool of experts from industries, R&D centres and academia. The student participants of this event will get an opportunity to update their current knowledgebase, and share their academic achievements, innovative thoughts and new ideas in the field of metallurgy and materials technology.

Since its inception in the year 2011, the seminar “Behind the Teacher’s Desk (BTTD)“ has blossomed into one of the most sought after event among the student fraternity of India.
