About the seminar
ince its inception in 2011, the seminar “Behind the Teacher’s Desk (BTTD)“ has blossomed into one of the most sought-after events among the student fraternity of India. BTTD has been held annually mainly at the CSIR-NML Jamshedpur and attracts more than 200 students from across the country. The event provides a launch pad for the students to showcase themselves and interact with scientists, eminent metallurgists, engineers and entrepreneurs to develop new skills in metallurgy and materials technology.

UG and PG students, scientists, faculty members, and industry professionals working in the domain of materials and metallurgical engineering

Abstract Submission
Interested students should submit an abstract (300 words max) in MS word format and send it by email to bttd.iimjsr@gmail.com. The abstract template is available at the BTTD-2026 website: https://iimjsr.com/bttd-2026/

Online Registration
For participation, online registration can be done through the google link (https://forms.gle/gsYXvtpqYkVVVx5k8) available in the BTTD 2026 website (https://iimjsr.com/bttd-2026/). Participants must carefully fill out the online registration form with a valid email ID.
Outstation students will be offered free shared hostel accommodation. Details of accommodation will be communicated to the registered participants at their e-mail ids.
