The Department of Metallurgical Engineering at BIT Sindri successfully organized the 11th edition of its flagship technical fest, Dhatvika ’26, a two-day event centered around the theme “Forging Net Zero: Decarbonisation and Green Innovation” on March 28-29, 2026. The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Jitendra Kumar, CGM (SMS & LDCP), SAIL Burnpur, along with the distinguished Guest Speaker, Dr. Gopi Kishore Mandal, Scientist–G, CSIR-NML and Honorary Secretary of the IIM Jamshedpur Chapter, Dr. Pankaj Rai, Director, BIT Sindri, Prof. Dr. Ghanshyam, Training and Placement Officer, and faculty members of the MME department including Prof. Baidya Nath Roy, Prof. Anil Kumar Rajak, Prof. Kirty Madhavi and others.

- Sthanann (Prabhat Stage), which included personal interview rounds judged by esteemed alumni
- Parivartan, an industrial problem-solving competition, challenged students to address real-world scenarios
- Mishran, an engaging general quiz competition that saw enthusiastic participation and effectively tested students’ knowledge, awareness, and teamwork
